50% cigar-shaped barrels, 50% traditional barrels.
Tasting Notes:
“Stunningly concentrated, with loads of licorice, truffle, blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, this dense, purple-colored wine is another great example of the heights 2012 achieved in this tiny appellation. Full-bodied, rich, pure, and impressively deep, this is a stunner to drink over the next 20 years. Sadly, the production from this tiny estate of 2.5 acres (on the Catusseau plateau near Le Pin) is difficult to find.”
